Our Grand Knight’s Message

Welcome to the virtual home of Knights of Columbus Council 395.  As Richmond’s first council, our ministry goes beyond an individual parish and reaches across the Richmond metro area, supporting organizations like Feed More, Habitat for Humanity, and the Pregnancy Resource Center.

Council 395 was one of the driving forces behind the establishment of KOVAR, a charity established in 1971 to provide financial assistance through grants and home loans to tax exempt organizations providing training and assistance to citizens with intellectual disabilities.  A large portion of our Council’s donations go toward this worthy charity.

Knights come from every stage of life, in countless corners of the world. If you are not a Knight, or if you are not finding your calling in your current council, I would invite you to Join us as we celebrate real role models in a world that needs men who lead, serve, protect and defend.

Vivat Jesus!

K-Cettes

The K-Cettes, the Ladies Auxiliary of Father Robert W. McDonald Council 395, was established In 1973.

The mission of the K-Cettes is to supplement, aid, abet and foster the activities, purposes and function of Council 395; to foster fellowship and goodwill among its members and offer financial aid to needy causes. Today, membership in K-Cettes is open to all women 18 years of age who have an interest in furthering the activities and functions of the K-Cettes.

Membership meets monthly September through June on the first Monday. Along with the business meeting, there is a program with a speaker or a fun activity.

At the September meeting the membership votes on a philanthropic project for the year. Various fundraising activities are held throughout the year with a check presented to the selected charity at the annual meeting held in June. Since 1973, this dynamic group of women has raised more than $190,000 for charity. Some fundraising opportunities have included an annual peanut sale, Christmas Raffle, bake sales in conjunction with the Knights Brunswick Stew Sale, tea parties and 50/50 raffles during meetings among other activities.

The K-Cettes has a 501c3 status with the IRS which allows donations to be tax deductible. The Organization is governed by member approved bylaws and guided by Robert's Rules of Order.
